Artists need time to observe, process, interpret, and then vent with a skill that also takes time to harness. All this requires solitude and focus. So it's no wonder the cliche image of a tormented artist is that of a typical introvert.
Introverts say very little, but usually have a lot to say. There is much thought and emotion rooted beneath the few outspoken sentences we choose to unleash. And sometimes, we are just as surprised as the listener at what ends up coming out.
